Hi Guys,
I have already contacted Zagadka and Manio, Zagadka asked me to sign up. So I have and am now posting here.
So a bit about myself, I have been programming C++ for about 5 years now, I currently teach C++ Computer Games programming, so I am as close to a professional games developer that you can get ;D
I wanted to get involved in a modding project, as I am getting bored of just looking at my own code, and students code and need something large and juicy to bite into.
So I was browsing Moddb looking for a project, preferably something that had recently started and was programmer less, but had got some work together, maps, models etc. Stumbled into your dismayed News 5 post about not having a programmer, and your work looked good.
Anyway, more about me, I live in Melbourne Australia, originally from Cornwall in the U.K.
I started looking at the SourceSDK last night, all pretty standard kinda affair, apart from the sheer scale of it all, so will take a fair bit of time to work out how it all works together. Had a bit of fun messing with the shot gun, changing it round. Got full debugging from VC++ 2008 working, makes for really quick and easy changes as well as debugging crashes etc.
This weekend I will probably look at starting some AI stuff, probably try and build a new Base Dino AI from the ravenholm zombies as they are about as close to what we want for dinosaurs, and I don't want to start from scratch.
